On the 6th January 2013, the Plym Valley Railway, will re-open the line from Marsh Mills to Plymbridge. The line was closed under the Beeching revue of Britain's railways, in 1963

The line snakes it's way through the mystical Plym Valley for 1.5 miles. On reaching Plymbridge, the old stone bridge across the river, provides a gateway to paths that wander up the valley bowards Bickleigh. The ancient woodland, has a beauty of it's own, whatever the season.

In folklore, it is said, that the ghosts of children still play in Shaugh Tunnel, from the days when steam engines travelled the line, many years past.

Mystic Devon wish the Plym Valley Railway, every success with their new service.

The re-opening of the line was reported in, The Herald, 3rd January 2013.
