MD The Abbot’s Way – Dartmoor
It is not too difficult to imagine, Mooks making their way across Dartmoor, on a windswept rainy winter’s day. They probably did. The line of Stone Crosses, mark the path from Buckfastleigh to Tavistock. The walk takes in some superb scenery, passing through parts of the moor which highlights its beauty. The Stone Crosses seem to act as a very early type of signpost, rather than marking an exact path.
It is a fair trek, so I would imagine the Mooks would not like to make a habit of it.

The Way
Come, I say, hold my honest hand
Unto the waves, of the ocean vast
Do not look back, upon the land
For its time, will cease to last
Come, I say, hold on to me
To carry thee, through the storm
Waves of peace, I gladly see
With the truth, calm and warm
Come, I say, and light the road
To love and joy, each starry hill
Like Islands set in richest gold
Come, I say, with crystals bright
Explore the way, unto shires above
Vibrations clear, each static right
To realms of peace, and tranquil love.
