MC Polzeath
One of the most popular beachs in North Cornwall, Polzeath, is noted for surfing. THhe bay is located between the fishing village of Port Isaac, and the Camel estuary. It’s level sandy beach is easy to reach from car parking on the sands, or on the headland above the beach to the west.
The village has a small selection of shopa, catering for a beach holiday. A memory from a previous visit, was a guy serving behind the counter in the shop above the rocks. Every time a customer came in he said, “ Sea will be in dreckly,” that is, the seas will be in soon, to those of us East of the Tamar. Of course he was right, it always does, twice a day.
From surfing, swimming, rock pool exploration, or just lying in the sun. Polzeath, is a must visit place.
Sniffer the Surfer
Chest out, with a cheesy grin,
Malibu waxed, sleek and thin.
Strutting with strength, toward the sea,
Hi girls just look, it really is me!
Bulging muscles, tattoo’s bright,
Cool blue wetsuit, taught and tight.
Waves that gather, just waiting the chance,
To display who’s boss, at the earliest glance.
Paddling out, Sniffer does well,
Not a hair out of place, it’s covered in gel.
Turning slowly, his board tilts side to side,
His view of the beach, is far and wide.
A wave comes close, this is the one,
Stand up straight, nice one son.
A gust of wind, he begins to wobble,
Hold tight Sniffer, he’s in trouble.
Balance stretched to the limit,
He’ll be ok, in just a minute,
Hey there, he’s done it, he poses with a smile,
Making a call on his mobile, using speed dial.
With brilliance and skill, he hits the shore,
“What a man” shout his fans, clap and adore.
A voice in his head, whispers quietly, you’ve reached the top,
“Wake up Sniffer, it’s time to get up!
Cop.
