It was an interesting old tale, that I had heard about the rocking chair that rocked while empty, in the corner of the bar. So I decided, I must have a look.
One lunchtime in the summer of 2011, I arrived with friends at the Inn. First impreeions were of a quaint olld Inn, which had a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. We ordered some lunch, and while waiting to be served, had a quick look around.
The old rocking chair was no where to be seen. Had we got the story wrong? We decided to ask the current owner about the story. She explained, that indeed there had been a rocking chair in the bar, but it had been removed by a previous owner.
It was a little disappointing to learn about it's removal, so we can only conclude that it was , just a tale. But then who knows?
