Post by Ray » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:26 am

This old Guildhall, was once the centre of life, in the town of Plympton, which is now a part of the City of Plymouth. Sadly, not used much these days, this interesting old building, is well known locally for it's paranormal activity. Various paranormal investigation group have covered the building, with interesting results.

The upper council chamber, was also used as a courtroom. Those unfortunate enough to have to appear before the judge, were held in cells in the building next door, now the Foresters Inn. If found guilty, of sometimes, what it considered nowadays, very minor crimes, they were despatched to the next world, outside the back door.

Various places in the Guildhall have be noted for the possible existance of energies that could be termed as ghosts. The chamber itself, an area halfway up the old woodent staircase, and the musicians balcony. The Main Hall itself is active with many records of activity.

The Guildhall is available to all to hire. Bookings can be made via the City of Plymouth Guildhall Bookings office. Telephone 07158 68000.
