Situated near Totnes, this castle is probably the most famous site in Devon, for it's paranormal activity. The ruin, a manor house inside a older castle, in itself is quite unique. It was a lovely sunny day when our visit took place. But then paranormal activity can occur anytime during the day or night, and it was indeed interesting how the atmosphee changed from one moment to another.
The old chapel did have a most unusual feel abouth it, and in the house area, the basment, apparently the site of a woman in a long dress who was imprisoned there, did throw up some fascinating results using a dowsing crytal. This castle is well worth a visit, if not antthing else, it's unusual character.

Re: Berry Pomeroy Castle-
On a further visit to the castle, the enrgies in the chapel, and the corridor leading to it, were particulary strong. Using a dowsing crystal, more than three energies were located. Photographs were taken, showing, what could be orbs. But due to the some doubt, they were discarded.
Quite a strong energu of a man, was located in the grounds to the front of the castle. This energy appeared to follow us aroung. No connection with the castle could be established, so it could only be speculated that it was "visiting".
The castle continues to have an atmosphere, of being exceptionally strange. It would be interesting to to know if any other people, or groups, have encountered anything more concrete.
Devon is indeed fortunate to have such a unique place to visit.
