Tribute to Chris – The man who took children from Devon to Lourdes each Easter.
Chris Dennehy was a gentle man who was a totally committed fund raiser for the H.C.P.T The Pilgrims Trust, group 49, he devoted a high percent of his spare time to collecting for this charity for many years among the folk of Devon and visitors to the county.
The H.C.P.T was very close to Chris's heart, he was well known in and around Plymouth and could very often be seen collecting at Sainbury's, Tesco's Morrison's and many other venues including the Torpoint ferry. Chris was a lovely gentle man who never had a bad word to say, Many will remember him, Many will miss him.

When God reached down
And collected his soul
He reached up knowing
He had to go
Slipping away peacefully
His body remained
One final look back
He smiled once again
Reaching home
A place he'd forgot
Past memories came flooding back
With splendor and awe
God gave back sights
We can not imagine
He finally found
His home, Heaven
We remember him daily
He does the same
We Love him always
It will never change
Now it’s his time to go
There is one thing I know
That he will be smiling
All the way home
