Folklore suggest, that this old Lighthouse, has a resident ghost or two.
Formally sited on the Eddystone Rock, the old tower now commands a elevated position, on Plymouth Hoe. On entering, a spiral stone stairway, leads to the first level, and from there on, steep ladder type stairs, climb the levels to the top.
Bearing in mind, that ghosts are not confined to the night, there is a feeling of being "watched", as you navigate the stairs. The energy is however, comfortable, as if it belongs there.
Smeaton's Tower, is one of Plymouth's most famous landmarks, and is well worth a visit. The view from the top is amazing.
