Saltash, the town on the Cornish side of the Tamar Bridge, will shortly be the home of a 20 metre high Celtic Cross.
The Cross, designed by artist, Simon Thomas, will be a gateway landmark, to the magical county of Cornwall. The Cross, constructed of resin, is coloured in Copper, Silver and Gold, to reflect the counties mining heritage.
Similar in size to the " Angel of the North", in Tyne and Wear, the Cross will no doubt attract the attention of visitors / tourists entering the county via Saltash.
Congratulations to Saltash Town Council on such an inspired idea
Mystic Devon, wish the project every success.

Re: Celtic Cross - Saltash - Cornwall
The Cross is now in position. First impressions would suggest it is unusual. No doubt it will give rise to debate, which is of course good publicity.
