St Ives Cornwall - The Little Cork

MC St Ives Cornwall

Dreamy St Ives, is one of Cornwall’s treasures. A great favourite of visitors to the county, life here takes on a whole new concept.

It has been said, that the light here is superb, drawing artists from all over the world. This interest in Art, has been highlighted by the Tate St Ives gallery.

The narrow streets guide you to the sea. A sandy beach, and the history as a fishing port, delivers a sense of wellbeing, to all who call in.

Looking out across the sea, to the horizon, as the sun sets on a summer[s evening, creates a feeling of just drifting through life. Time? What is time? Does it matter? In St Ives, it really does not.

The Little Cork

Just floating, bobbing side to side
Ocean currents push me along
I am but a cork, upon a conscious ride
In a life of tough, and often wrong

I was once a tree, in the forest green
Then found a job, with bottled wine
With a pop got fired, that was mean
Watching others toast and dine

Each turn in life, bring changes
From birth, to now, and destiny
Have I choice, I wonder why
Or trust the plan in store for me.
