This is a poem I wrote a few years ago about my boxer dog called Brynn , a great character that I sadly had to let go of after a short illness, a nine year old dog that looked like a puppy still, I know he is still with me in so many ways and would like to share my poem about him .. in the poem I mention tin trays, this was something I had to use to put in front of the things that he liked to chew, I had about 8 of them and would have to put them around everytime I left the house because he was affraid of the noise they made if he touched them .. Also the chocolate mentioned was his best friend a chocolate labrador .. I hope you enjoy the poem thankyou for reading it ... Ellie
BRYNN
.........
So majestic, full of grace, big brown eyes and soppy face;
Silky fur, massive paws, loved so much, amidst his flaws.
Tigger bounces, cheeky barks, sixty mile an hour around the park;
Tail tucked in, off he'd zoom, like up his bum was stuck a broom!
************
Sicky socks in the car, never could he travel far;
Strut his stuff along the beach,to see how far the waves could reach.
Two hour walks , He d poo all the way! He'd have at least ten a day!
Should have had shares in nappy bags, I d now be driving a great big jag!
*************
Chewed up doors, spat out cooker knobs, piles of hairs and lots of flob;
Up the walls and on your clothes, sloppy licks and a big wet nose.
To make you smile, he had the knack, I'd give up lots to have him back;
Tin trays galore, would drive me spare, now its bare without him there.
*************
His favorite chocolate was a dog called Paddy, think he thought I'm daddy!!
Lots of fun being dragged by the throat, on his back mud on his coat,
For no other dog could push his luck, or be so braisen to run amuck!
True pals right to the very end, Paddy was honoured to be his friend.
I miss you Brynn, more than you'll know, couldn't bear it when you had to go;
You take with you my broken heart, my love for you will never part..
