Two Bridges - Dartmoor
Situated North East of Princetown lies the moorland village of Two Bridges. One bridge carries a road and the other is a pre-historic clapper bridge, constructed from slabs of granite. People once lived here in moorland huts. Many stone hut circles still can be found all over the Moors. One can still use the old bridge to cross over the West Dart River.
Dartmoor with its continual weather changes never loses its scenic beauty. From the mists and rain to the crystal clear sunshine, the rugged terrain always gives it’s best to please you.
Sitting on the clapper bridge, with your legs dangling over the side with someone you love just gazing at the view, is simply magical.
Love Divine
Love divine, is love inside
When love is found, no one can hide
Honest and true, lies at peace
In waves of tenderness, that do not cease
Divine o so divine
Twists and turns upon the vine
Light, much light, you cannot see
Pure love, dear love, is in store for thee.
