Reported in local media.

Funding is being sought, to create a visitors centre, for the Roman Baths, located beneath Cathedral Green in Exeter.

The Baths, are known to be extensive, following earlier investigations in the 1970's.

Hopefully, funding will be foundfound to create this underground centre, which surely will be a major tourist attraction for Devon.

Further media reports, that a £8 million bid to the Lottery Heritage Fund, has been declined.

It does seem sometimes, that the South West, does not appear to attract much interest when trying to make the region more attractive to visitors, as well as provide much welcome revenue to the Cathedral.

Let us hope that the Fund, re-visits it's decision, and give a welcome boost to the Devon ecomomy.
