Spiritual Healing – New Horizons
During the course of time, many dedicated people, have practiced Spiritual Healing, to facilitate the holistic health and well-being of the patient. A practice that considers the health of a person as a whole, without separation from other levels of being and experiencing, thus the inter-relationship of mind, body, and spirit is recognised as important. Although this type of healing has been used over many centuries, its practice in recent times has been pushed to the side-lines of modern health practice, and often reported; as “not proven”, in favour of more conventional modern medicine. Of course, modern medicine has proven benefits in the general health and well- being of people, without which, many would lead very difficult lives.
Spiritual Healing however, is fast becoming a valuable asset to modern life, especially since a growing number of people are seeking to live a more positive and balanced lifestyle, which supports their health on all levels of being, mind, body, and spirit. Thus as well as looking to conventional medicine for their needs, more people are also seeking other forms of healing to embrace a holistic lifestyle, which compliments health and well-being. Fully trained and certificated practioners now offer a very professional service to the community. This service is also now being recognised in some quarters of the conventional medical profession, as a most beneficial complimentary therapy.
Professor Bruce Lipton, in the U.S.A. has identified how the human body works by means of the vibration of the atoms, contained in the cells of the human body. This theory establishes some new and important facts which have proven essential to our further understanding of how the body functions at a molecular level, and how this affects the general well-being and health of the individual. It suggests that once a breakdown of the communication of the cells occurs, disease may result, as a consequence of the inner collapse of union and relation between various cells which support health. This view however, is not accepted as conventional medicine. Its impact upon our understanding of health and well-being however, may at some stage attract further interest, as medical science evolves in the future to embrace wider areas of investigation. Scientist and author, Maurice Cotterell, has also completed some extremely interesting work in this field.
So how does Spiritual Healing link in with this idea? It is quite simple. A Spiritual Healer acts as a channel, or conduit, to embrace a natural occurring universal energy, and then transferring this energy to the patient, influences their well-being at an energetic level, the cells of the body receive this energy, and come into balance and equilibrium. Many people report a feeling of deep relaxation, balance, and well-being. It could be argued, that such a practice and its helpfulness, is just not proven. This may be regarded as a fair comment at this time, perhaps research needs to look to wider fields of explanation, and embrace the great body of evidence in this area.
Even in our modern world, especially in the Far East, the practice of using natural universal energy to help people, and their passage through life, is considered quite normal. Shamanic healers in Africa, for example, are usually the first port of call for people, who are too poor to consider conventional medicine. To channel energy, to help the body heal itself, is often recognised as an alternative and successful approach to healing
.
How may Spiritual Healing, help in Britain today? It seems that modern living creates, for some, a great amount of stress. Prolonged stress, as many now recognise, is not good for the body, and can lead to poor health, which may contribute to low mood. Many initiatives have now been made by conventional medicine, to help guide people to lead a more active life, through appropriate exercise, and more healthy eating practices. This, of course is sound advice, and should if possible be followed. However perhaps a more holistic approach and viewpoint concerning health and well-being can now be considered as we come to embrace and appreciate the very ancient practice of Spiritual Healing.
Healing can be obtained in various places. Spiritualist Churches, for example have long been associated with recognised training and administration of the healing practice. Natural Healing centres too, have provided healing sessions which are open to all. Drop in centres are usually available in most cities and towns. These tend to be operated on a group basis, which offer a valuable and supportive service to the general public. This however may not appeal to all people.
There now seems to be a move towards a one to one, healing experience. The practioner and the patient, using the availability of a calm and stress free environment, in which the full benefits of healing can be achieved. These sessions are conducted in a most professional way, and with total confidentiality. This is often a wonderful time to experience deep peace and relaxation, to reflect and get in touch with a natural state of peace and calm.
There are new horisons now developing in the field of Spiritual Healing. A professional confidential service carried out by trained practitioners, as a complimentary therapy to conventional medicine. This can only be of great benefit to people, in our modern times.
