Harewood Park - Plympton - Plymouth - Tree of Flags

Post by Ray » Fri Apr 05, 2013 2:33 pm

It was on a sunny spring day, when a couple met in Harewood Park. As they sat on a seat, next to the Cricket Ground, the sound of the Tory Brook behind them, was silent, as the wind captured the trees, to awaken them to the spring.

The groundsman, preparing the wicket for the season. The rattle of the Bowling Green gate, once again in use as players entered for practive. It would seem ideal that on such a day, love would appear to two peoople.

Surely the world, as a whole, could be like this too. A dream maybe, but guidence of the Universe, it could be you know.

Tree of Flags

My heart is of love and seed,
As I stand upon this earthly ground.
Leaves as lives caress a need,
Explore this world, of nature found

My branches grow to greet the Sun,
The star that gives such mortal time.
Casts no shadow for those at one
In peace and love, in silence mime.

In hearts so pure, they need not say,
Of tears of hurt, I ask of thee.
My branches brush each passing day,
On the wind that blows on me.

From my soul bright flags do grow.
To greet the sky, of vibrant blue.
It is with hope, for all to know,
Find love in life, each one of you.

Nations of this world, I call to thee,
Come close, I whisper to each one.
Much love, much peace, have faith in me,
When flags embrace, war is done.
