Palace Theatre - Union Street - Plymouth

Post by Ray » Thu May 03, 2012 12:33 pm

Along with mant other old theatres, The Palace has a history of ghost activity. Many famous Music Hall acts performed here' A grand building, it is such a pity, that it now lies emppty afther closing as a theatre and laterly a nightclub.

Although it's performers have long since gone, Do some still tread the boards?

A cfew years ago, I was fortunate to talk with someone who had worked in the building. He mentioned, that once he was working in the theatre alone. He had, as company, his Alsation dog. While working in the area of the stage, he felt a strange cold sensation around him. His dog, who was sat nearby, suddenly jumped up, and with the hairs of his coat standing upright, barked at something behind him. With that the dog ran away, closely persued by his owner. The man had to visit the theatre several times after to carry out work, but on each visit, his dog refused to even enter the building.

This is possibly just one exampe of such stories. There must be of course, some more?
